Logistics Specialist (contract)

Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions (AGS). If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.

Role Summary

This role supports the daily movement of goods across the supply chain. The person will coordinate shipments, track deliveries, manage inventory transactions, validate freight invoices, and resolve transportation issues with carriers and warehouse partners.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of logistics or supply chain operations experience and hands-on exposure to freight auditing, freight invoice processing, shipment tracking, and inventory management.

Location: Dublin 18, D Ireland (Remote)

Contract End Date: 31st December 26

Weekly Schedule: 40 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
• Track deliveries and proactively resolve shipment delays
• Communicate with carriers, freight providers, and warehouse teams
• Review and audit freight invoices for accuracy
• Validate transportation charges against contracts and rate agreements
• Investigate freight discrepancies, overcharges, and billing issues
• Monitor inventory movements and maintain inventory accuracy
• Support cycle counts and reconciliation activities
• Manage shipment documentation and operational records
• Generate logistics performance reports and analyze trends
• Work with planning, procurement, and warehouse teams to meet delivery commitments
• Ensure SLAs and operational KPIs are achieved
