As a logistics employee, you ensure that materials, including raw materials and sales items, are received, stored, and shipped in the proper manner. This role is important because the movement and storage of materials must be done with care and quality, and efficiency is directly affected. Because you work with products that must remain refrigerated, work takes place not only in the warehouse but also in refrigerated areas.

Below is a small selection of the tasks involved:

• Checking stock for quality, hygiene, shelf life, and correctness of batches, best-before dates, and quantities;
• Based on documentation, picking and supplying materials for production in a timely and correct manner using FIFO;
• Preparing outgoing orders for shipment by picking, stacking/palletizing, sealing, printing labels, and affixing them correctly to the pallets;
• Performing final checks on quality, completeness, accuracy, etc. on outgoing shipments before transfer to the carrier;
• Ensuring the correct use of equipment such as forklift trucks; performing daily/weekly maintenance (or having it performed), reporting defects and abnormalities to the technical department;
