We are seeking an experienced Locum Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine to join a busy NHS Emergency Department. The successful candidate will provide high-quality acute and emergency care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical, surgical, and trauma-related conditions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated clinician with previous NHS Emergency Medicine experience who is available to commence work immediately.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients attending the Emergency Department.
- Provide timely and effective emergency care in accordance with NHS and Trust guidelines.
- Manage acute medical, surgical, and trauma presentations.
- Perform clinical procedures within the scope of competence.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, specialty teams, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Participate in clinical handovers and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Ensure compliance with Trust policies, GMC standards, and patient safety protocols.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Right to Work in the UK with appropriate documentation.
- Excellent communication and team-working skills.
- Ability to start work ASAP.
- Previous experience working as a Specialty Doctor, Middle Grade, or Registrar in Emergency Medicine.
- Experience working in a busy NHS Emergency Department.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development and clinical audit participation.
- Opportunity to work within a supportive NHS Trust.
- Potential extension of contract based on service requirements and performance.
