Locum Planning Lawyer - London Local Authority - Hybrid working - Full Time

Venn Group is working with a well-regarded and busy London local authority in their search for a Locum Planning Lawyer on an interim basis, initially for around 3 months.

Details:

Job Title: Locum Planning Lawyer
Hourly Rate: Negotiable depending on experience
Length of Contract: 3 months (with strong potential for extension)
Working Pattern: Full time - 36 hours
Location: Local Authority in London
Office attendance: Once a week

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Managing a varied planning and highways caseload
• Building and sustaining effective relationships with stakeholders
• Working with a case management system
• Devising and implementing new methods, forms and procedures as required by new legislation
• Determining the effect of new legislation and advising specifically on the impact of new legislation

Preferred Experience:

• Solid background in Planning, in a Public Sector/ Local Authority environment
• Two years PQE in Planning or significant pre-qualification experience in planning
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working independently and managing a flexible caseload
