• Full Time / Ad hoc Location: NHS Trust (UK) Start: ASAP Life Support: ALS Required (additional certifications desirable) Agency Locum Position Role Overview The NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Locum CT3 Doctor to provide high quality clinical care across a range of acute and elective services.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting senior clinicians and providing safe, effective patient management.

This role is ideal for a doctor confident at CT3 level who can adapt quickly, manage busy clinical environments, and deliver excellent patient care.

Sub Specialties Covered Depending on rota allocation, the post may include work across the following specialties commonly covered at CT3 level: Acute & General Medicine Acute Medical Unit (AMU) General Internal Medicine Elderly Care / Frailty Respiratory Medicine Cardiology Gastroenterology Endocrinology & Diabetes Renal Medicine Neurology Infectious Diseases Rheumatology Dermatology Emergency & Urgent Care Emergency Department (Majors / Minors) Ambulatory Care Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) Surgical Specialties General Surgery Trauma & Orthopaedics Urology ENT Ophthalmology Vascular Surgery Colorectal Surgery Upper GI Surgery Other Rotational Areas ICU / Critical Care (depending on experience) Anaesthetics (supervised) Obstetrics & Gynaecology (ward cover) Paediatrics (ward-based, if previously experienced) Psychiatry (liaison / ward-based roles depending on trust)

Key Responsibilities Provide safe, effective clinical assessment and management of patients Participate in ward rounds, admissions, and on call duties Support senior clinicians and supervise junior staff where required Ensure accurate documentation and timely discharge summaries Work collaboratively with nursing, AHPs, and wider MDT Escalate concerns appropriately and follow trust protocols Participate in audits, teaching, and quality improvement where possible

Essential Requirements Full GMC registration with licence to practise Right to work in the UK Minimum CT2/CT3 level experience in relevant specialties ALS certification (ACLS equivalent accepted) Up to date mandatory training Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
