Locum Consultant Stroke Medicine - Sussex

National Locums is working on behalf of an NHS trust based in Sussex, seeking a locum Consultant in Stroke Medicine.

The Medicine department within the Sussex trust is looking for a Locum Consultant in Stroke Medicine to start in April for an initial period of 1 month.

Core working hours are Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00, with on-call duties on a 1:5 weekends and 1:5 weekdays basis.

The job plan will be based on 10 PA's, including 8 DCC's and 2 SPA's. The post involves daily work on HASU, including attending stroke calls, assessing patients for thrombolysis/thrombectomy, TIA clinics, outpatient stroke clinics (virtual and face-to-face), daily board rounds, and MDT meetings. These duties will be shared among colleagues to ensure continuity of patient care.

Applicants must hold the following:

• GMC license to practice
• NHS experience in Stroke Medicine and Thrombolysis
• Specialist Registration in Stroke Medicine
