Locum Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology

The successful candidate will be expected to work as a team member to deliver the service contract and to contribute towards strategic planning and development within the Directorate. The Directorate has a proud record of delivering the contract within budget and aims to maintain this position. The post-holder will be professionally responsible for their particular patient workload but will also be responsible for colleagues patients while carrying out on-call work. The Directorate expects the post-holder to adhere to principles of practice as set by the GMC and comply with Trust Policies and Procedures. Demonstrates strong clinical leadership with the ability to work effectively within a busy multidisciplinary team, including midwives, junior doctors, anaesthetists, neonatologists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals. Maintains excellent communication skills and contributes positively to patient safety, service improvement, and teaching/training activities. A flexible and hardworking clinician with the ability to adapt to changing service demands, rota requirements, and high-pressure clinical environments. Committed to collaborative team working, delivering compassionate patient-centred care, and supporting colleagues to ensure efficient and effective department functioning at all times.
