Hiring a Locum Consultant Dermatologist

We are seeking a Dermatologist with a Diploma in Dermatology or equivalent to assist with triaging dermatology referrals. The pay rate is up to £2500 per day.

Position Details

National Locums is hiring Consultant Dermatologists and SPR/Associate Specialists for various roles, including:

1. Minor operations
2. Biologics
3. 2-week wait clinics
4. WLI and backlog clearing

Pay rates range from £800 to £2500 per day. Most work is private clinic-led, paid via limited company, umbrella, or self-employment. The contract duration is from 3 months up to 1 year.

Responsibilities

• See general dermatology patients referred by GPs, conduct investigations, diagnose, and recommend treatments.
• Refer patients back to GPs with advice for ongoing management when appropriate.
• Refer patients for specialist opinions (Senior Consultant Dermatologist, Plastic Surgeon, or Dermatology Nurse) when necessary.
• Support and collaborate with dermatology nurse specialists through joint patient reviews.
• Perform diagnostic biopsies, cryotherapy, curettage, and cautery procedures.

The successful candidate will have nursing support during clinics.
