Job Opportunity: Locum Consultant Dermatologist

We are seeking a qualified Locum Consultant Dermatologist with a Diploma in Dermatology or equivalent to assist with dermatology referral triage. The position offers a pay rate of up to £2,500 per day.

Position Details

National Locums is hiring Consultant Dermatologists and SPR/Associate Specialists for various roles including:

• Minor operations
• Biologics treatments
• Two-week wait (2ww) clinics
• WLI and patient backlog management

The pay rates range from £800 to £2,500 per day. Most work is private clinic-led, with payments made via limited company, umbrella, or self-employment. The contract duration is from 3 months up to 1 year.

Responsibilities

• See general dermatology patients referred directly by GPs
• Conduct investigations, diagnose conditions, and recommend treatments
• Refer patients back to GPs with ongoing management advice
• Refer patients to Senior Consultant Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons, or Dermatology Specialist Nurses when appropriate
• Support dermatology nurse specialists through joint patient reviews and case advice
• Perform diagnostic biopsies, cryotherapy, curettage, and cautery procedures

The successful candidate will have nursing support during clinics.
