Job Opportunity: Locum Consultant Dermatologist

We are seeking a Locum Consultant Dermatologist with a Diploma in Dermatology or equivalent to assist with triaging dermatology referrals. The pay rate is up to £2,500 per day.

Position Details

• Coverage includes minor operations, biologics, 2-week wait clinics, and backlog clearing.
• Pay rates range from £800 to £2,500 per day, paid via limited company, umbrella, or self-employment.
• Contract duration: 3 months to 1 year.

Responsibilities

• See general dermatology patients referred by GPs, conduct investigations, diagnose, and recommend treatments.
• Refer patients back to GPs with management advice when appropriate.
• Refer cases to Senior Consultant Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons, or Dermatology Specialist Nurses as needed.
• Support dermatology nurse specialists through joint patient reviews and case advice.
• Perform diagnostic biopsies, cryotherapy, curettage, and cautery procedures.
