Job Description

Searcys are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Location Accountant to join our team. As a Location Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of our catering and client services, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations. This role will be based in a B&I contract.

Job Description

Managing all financial aspects of a contract

Operating in-unit bookkeeping systems: Processing/querying daily purchase invoices and credit notes, daily reconciliation of revenues & takings, balancing cash office, calculating stock transfers between accounts, calculating waste reports, closing weekly accounting period

  • Weekly paperwork submission to central office
  • Maintaining accrual-specific documents (free issue, beverages, agency, vending)
  • Delivering monthly, quarterly, and yearly client reporting suite for Cost Plus contract
  • Client stock reconciliation and reporting
  • Client-specific analytical reports
  • Monthly accruals and journals preparation and postings
  • P&L revision and submission
  • Monthly client invoice issuing with backup
  • Quarterly client reporting
  • Budgeting and balance sheet reconciliation for client and Searcys
  • Weekly payroll management
  • Management accounting experience would be preferred
  • Proven ability to work with, and analyze big data sets
  • Experience operating in a multi-site retail business within a food service/catering environment is essential
  • A motivated, self-starter with an enquiring and pro-active approach to work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be comfortable interacting across all levels of the business in formal and informal environments
