Litigation Solicitor

Express Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with an established and growing legal practice as they look to recruit a General Litigation Solicitor to join their busy and supportive team.

You will be an integral part of the business managing a varied general litigation caseload and providing pragmatic and commercial advice to a diverse client base while contributing to the continued growth of the department.

This role can be based from a number of locations across Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire.

• Manage a varied general litigation caseload from instruction through to conclusion
• Advise clients on a range of civil litigation matters providing practical and commercial legal advice
• Handle matters including contract and commercial disputes, property and landlord & tenant issues, debt recovery and enforcement
• Manage employment-related disputes, professional negligence claims and contentious probate matters
• Draft pleadings, witness statements and legal correspondence
• Represent clients in negotiations and at hearings where required
• Develop strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives

• Qualified Solicitor with post-qualification experience in general litigation
• Strong technical ability with good working knowledge of civil procedure
• Excellent communication, drafting and client care skills
• Ability to manage a varied workload efficiently and independently
• Proactive, organised and enthusiastic about teamwork and business development

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time (9:00am to 5:00pm)
