Job Description

Litigation Solicitor
Location: Bath, Somerset
Salary: Up to £60,000 (DOE)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (initial on-site expectation)

About the Role

A highly regarded regional law firm is looking to welcome a Litigation Solicitor to its established team, with the flexibility to be based in either Bath or Wells. Known for its supportive culture and commitment to long-term careers, the firm places a strong emphasis on the individual -their values, ambitions, and growth potential -rather than just ticking boxes on a CV.

This role offers the opportunity to handle a broad civil litigation caseload, with some exposure to commercial litigation matters. You'll be joining a welcoming and down-to-earth team where your contribution will be genuinely valued, and your career development actively supported.

The role will involve:
  • Running your own varied caseload of civil litigation matters, such as property disputes, contentious probate, and debt recovery.
  • Assisting with or managing some commercial litigation files, depending on experience.
  • Advising clients directly and representing them in negotiations or hearings.
  • Taking an active role in team development and client relationship management.
  • Working closely with senior colleagues who are keen to mentor and support your progression.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor with around NQ-5 years' PQE in litigation.
  • Have solid experience in civil litigation, with any commercial exposure being a bonus.
  • Be personable, ambitious, and eager to build your career in a firm that prioritises its people.
  • Thrive in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
  • Show strong communication skills and a practical, client-focused approach.
What You'll Get in Return
  • A competitive salary of up to £60,000, depending on experience.
  • Hybrid working options after an initial period.
  • A genuinely supportive and inclusive working culture.
  • Real progression opportunities tailored to your strengths and aspirations.
  • The chance to build a career with a firm that values you as an individual.
