Founded in 2011, the South London Legal Partnership (SLLP) is the in-house legal service for the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Boroughs of Merton, Richmond upon Thames, Sutton and Wandsworth. Role Overview

Having recently expanded our Housing Litigation Team we are seeking to recruit a lawyer to join a vibrant, dedicated and highly skilled team, where every member is valued, supported and encouraged to be part of the team's development and processes. This opportunity is suitable for qualified lawyers who have a background in and wish to broaden their experience in the field of housing civil litigation. We are looking for individuals who are real team players, self motivated, flexible and able to work to tight timescales.

Responsibilities

You will be dealing with a wide range of matters acting for our Boroughs as both claimant and defendant in various matters including tenancy management enforcement, disrepair, homelessness, public law and Judicial review. A knowledge of local government legislation is desirable and/or can be developed.

Qualifications

Qualified lawyer in the UK with a background in housing civil litigation. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, meet tight deadlines and adapt to a wide variety of legal matters. When possible, prior experience with local government or public law matters is advantageous.
