Job Description

We're looking for a reliable and detail-focused Factory Operative - Lithographer to join our team.

This is an important role within our manufacturing process, where you'll be responsible for applying lithographs onto glazed ware in line with Company quality standards. You'll ensure lithographs are correctly positioned and applied, prepare lithographs for application and carry out quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards.

Monday to Wednesday: 7:45am - 4:15pm
Thursday to Friday: 7:45am - 1:15pm

£13.29 per hour

About the Role

As a Factory Operative - Lithographer, you'll be responsible for applying lithographs onto glazed ware, ensuring they are correctly positioned and applied in accordance with the relevant job description paperwork, decorating pictures and styling sheets.

You'll prepare lithographs for application, apply them to ware using a squeegee and ensure no trapped air is left underneath. You'll also place completed lithographed ware onto trucks for quality control checking and use pads to separate ware as required.

Key Responsibilities

Adhere to job description paperwork regarding the correct positioning of lithographs.

Check decorating pictures on the computer or styling sheet at the front bench to ensure the correct decoration is being applied.

Prepare lithographs for application by removing interleaf sheets and soaking them in water.

Apply lithographs to ware in the correct position and use a squeegee to ensure proper application with no trapped air.

Place lithographed ware onto trucks ready for quality control checking.

Utilise pads to separate ware as required.

Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

Follow all Health & Safety regulations, Company policies and procedures.

Carry out other reasonable duties as required.

About You

Have a good standard of English and Maths.

Have excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.

Take pride in producing work to a consistently high standard.

Be reliable and able to follow established processes and quality standards.

Be comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Have good hand-eye coordination and a steady approach to detailed work.

Be willing to complete required training and refresher training when necessary.

Training

You'll receive full on-the-job training to ensure you understand the correct processes and quality standards required for the role. Refresher training will also be provided as required.
