As a Linux System Administrator handle system administration tasks, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to infrastructure projects.
Linux System Administrator - The Role
- System Administration & Support: Manage Linux servers, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and support deployments.
- Security & Compliance: Apply security best practices, run audits, and ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
- Automation & Optimization: Automate tasks with Bash/Python, manage backups, and support system scaling.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work with teams, document procedures, and mentor junior members.
Linux System Administrator - Your Profile
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's in IT or equivalent experience, with 3-5+ years as a Linux SysAdmin/Engineer across major distributions (Red Hat a plus).
- Cloud & Containers: Solid experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, VMware/Proxmox, Docker/podman, and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Skills: Strong in shell scripting (plus Python/Perl), config management (Ansible), networking basics, and Git-based version control.
- Certifications: RHCE, LPIC, or CompTIA Linux+ certifications are a strong advantage.
