Linen Porter

Working as part of the Housekeeping team you will ensure all linen is moved around the hotel efficiently, supporting the Room Attendants and contributing to the smooth operation of the hotel.

You will have some interaction with guests, so conversational English is essential, and you must be able to work independently for periods of time. You will be a vital cog in the Malmaison machine.

Shifts are primarily set, usually between 9am-3pm, five days a week. Shift start times can be flexible between 9am-10am. Earlier start times, flexible contracts, or weekend-only work can be discussed during the interview.

Being a Linen Porter requires a good level of fitness to carry out the duties. Full training in the handling of chemicals and equipment will be provided. Prior experience in a similar role is not required, but a positive attitude and a desire to make a difference are essential.

We actively encourage internal development and progression. Malmaison plans to have 100 new apprentices by year end, and candidates for this position will have the opportunity to enroll in our apprenticeship scheme after completing their probationary period.
