Job Description
Role Summary

As part of SEGA's Transmedia West Europe Consumer Products division, this newly created position will lead the brand licensing strategy for the Creative Assembly studio's Total War franchise (including Total War: Warhammer 40K, Total War: Medieval III, and others). The role collaborates with the Head of Brand Licensing EMEA, Creative Assembly Studio Executives, and cross functional teams to develop the consumer products business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the Total War franchise brand licensing strategy to deliver the annual and long term revenue business plan.
  • Identify, pitch, and secure new licensing opportunities across categories such as apparel, collectibles, home goods, publishing, toys, and other relevant consumer products.
  • Oversee day to day relationships with licensees, ensuring high product quality, brand consistency, and performance standards.
  • Lead negotiations for new and renewed licensing deals, working closely with Legal, Accounting, and Finance.
  • Manage and forecast licensee revenue, providing quarterly status updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute physical and e commerce retail strategies.
  • Support brand marketing and partnership initiatives across the Creative Assembly portfolio, including collaborations with IP partners like Games Workshop.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams-Publishing, Creative, Product Development-to optimise go to market plans and maintain communication with Creative Assembly brand teams.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to identify opportunities and risks, and represent SEGA & Creative Assembly at trade & consumer events.
  • Serve as the main liaison between Creative Assembly Studios and SEGA Transmedia West's licensing execution team; travel regularly to Horsham.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience - Essential
  • Significant experience in licensing, partnerships, or business development-ideally within entertainment, gaming, or consumer goods.
  • Proven track record of building and managing licensing programs in Europe and/or globally.
  • Strong network of licensees across multiple categories.
  • Understanding of retail distribution channels and e commerce dynamics.
  • Deep knowledge of contract negotiation and revenue management.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and thorough understanding of contract terms.
  • Exceptional relationship building and assertive interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel for stakeholder meetings, trade shows, and fan events; regular trips to Creative Assembly Studios in Horsham.
  • Passion for strategy games, video games, pop culture, and entertainment.
  • Experience with fan events, convention merchandise, ecommerce/D2C.
  • Significant experience playing highly immersive strategy games, particularly within the Total War franchise.
