LGV Driver / Labourer

Responsibilities

• Operate our heavy goods vehicles safely, legally, and efficiently.
• Execute high-quality multi-drop delivery services, ensuring products reach company depots on schedule.
• Maintain full responsibility for load and vehicle security, ensuring all mechanical and safety equipment is in working order.
• Keep the vehicle clean and maintain its upkeep.
• Manage essential daily documentation, including advice notes, tachograph charts, and fuel mileage, while aligning work hours with WTD regulations.
• Obtain signatures, collect payments if required, and maintain a high standard of customer service with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prioritise staff, customer, and public well being by strictly adhering to Health and Environment policies and the 12 Life Saving Rules.

Qualifications

• Minimum LGV C (HGV 2) license with a clean driving record and a valid Driver's CPC Card.
• ADR qualification desired but not essential.
• Proven experience in multi-drop deliveries and strong geographical knowledge of local and regional areas.
• Good standard of health and fitness for manual handling of equipment; willing to undergo a company medical if requested.
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills for accurate logging and reporting.
• FLT Licence an advantage but not essential.
