Legal Engineering Operations
Posted 2 days 5 hours ago by Legora AB
Legora is on a mission: to redefine how legal work gets done. From the very start we have been very clear about the fact that we are not building a solution for lawyers, we are building it with them, because it is the only way to make sure it gets done the right way; working side-by-side every step of the way.
Our AI-native workspace empowers legal professionals not just to work faster - but to ask better questions, unlock new insights. Every day, we push the boundaries of legal tech to make complex processes smarter, faster, and more human. From thousands of documents analysed in minutes to intelligent workflows designed in collaboration with leading practices, we're turning possibility into reality.
Today we are trusted by global firms like Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Bird & Bird and Linklaters in over 40 countries, but we have no plans on stopping here. We ship fast, we iterate effectively, and we scale rapidly - not by accident, but by design.
When you join Legora, you become part of a team that believes "good enough" isn't good enough and that the way to win is together, by empowering lawyers to do their best work with technology that truly understands them. If you're excited by building from first principles, working with exceptional people, and accelerating change in a high-stakes, high-impact domain-then this is the moment and the place.
We're not just shaping the future of legal tech - we're defining it. Ready to join us in building the intelligent future of law?About the Role
As Legal Engineering Operations & Staffing Lead, you'll build and run the operating system that powers Legora's global Legal Engineering (LE) function.
You'll ensure the right Legal Engineers are staffed on the right projects - optimizing utilization, balancing workloads, and enabling the team to focus on delivering high-impact, customer-facing work.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role at the intersection of Ops, Product, and Legal Engineering, combining staffing operations, capacity forecasting, and enablement systems.
You'll be the connective tissue that translates strategic priorities into scalable execution.
Build and manage the staffing and allocation model for Legal Engineering, matching resources to projects by expertise, region, and availability.
Maintain visibility into capacity, utilization, and skill coverage across the global team.
Partner with Sales and Customer Success to align upcoming pipeline demand with staffing supply.
Own the intake and triage process for new Legal Engineering requests (via Salesforce, Slack, or Notion).
Ensure equitable workload distribution and consistent delivery across customers and regions.
Define and refine SLAs, handoffs, and engagement models between Sales, CS, and Legal Engineering.
Partner with RevOps and People Ops to forecast headcount and hiring needs based on demand models and utilization data.
Build dashboards for capacity forecasting, project load, and team health to support leadership decision-making.
Support onboarding, training, and enablement initiatives that keep Legal Engineers productive and aligned.
Design and implement tooling for resource visibility, utilization tracking, and project management.
Partner with RevOps and IT to integrate staffing data into Salesforce, analytics platforms, and broader GTM systems.
Maintain high data integrity, ensuring accurate reporting and actionable insights.
Continuously improve systems and workflows to drive scalability and efficiency.
Serve as the operational backbone for Legal Engineering globally - bridging Product, RevOps, and Customer teams.
Translate strategic priorities into day-to-day execution plans, cadences, and reviews.
Build and mentor a small operations and staffing coordination team as the function scales.
6+ years of experience in Professional Services Operations, Consulting Resource Management, Revenue Operations, or Legal Operations ideally at a law firm, investment bank, or a SaaS technology-driven environment.
Demonstrated experience in capacity planning, forecasting, or staffing for delivery-heavy or customer-facing teams.
Analytical mindset with comfort designing and iterating on operating models, SLAs, and dashboards.
Strong cross-functional collaborator who can navigate Sales, CS, Product, and Legal environments.
Comfortable owning both strategic design and hands-on execution (from building dashboards to running staffing meetings).
Familiar with Salesforce, project/resource management tools (e.g., Asana, Float, Kantata), and data visualization platforms (Looker, Tableau, or equivalent).
Bonus: experience supporting Legal Engineering, Professional Services, or Technical Solutions teams.
