Legal Counsel

Overview

We are delighted to be working exclusively with a high-growth business in the SaaS/Technology sector. The company is in a strong position, and on the back of a recent private equity takeover, they are now in an exciting growth phase and seeking an experienced commercial contracts lawyer to help facilitate that growth.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts with customers and suppliers and supporting on bids/tenders.
• Advising on general commercial law matters e.g. GDPR / IP / Corporate M&A / dispute management / general risk & compliance.
• Managing key internal stakeholders and decision makers within the business.
• Assisting on delivering high level legal operations, processes and procedures.
• Assisting on ad hoc legal queries.

Role profile / Suitability

• The role is appropriate for either:
• a) a lawyer already working in house who is seeking a step up in terms of exposure and responsibilities, where you will be afforded significant autonomy but with the required support; or
• b) a private practice lawyer seeking to make the move in house for the first time, in an exciting business and sector where you will be able to sharpen your technical skills in a very deals focussed environment.

Experience and background

• Ideally you will have worked in SaaS/Technology sector and / or a customer facing / sales orientated business.

Working arrangements

The business operates a hybrid working policy, requiring 2-3 days per week in the West Midlands office.
