The Company:

A Tier One infrastructure organisation known for its expertise in marine engineering and complex infrastructure projects who are active in both the public and private sectors across the Netherlands and beyond.


The Role:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including consortium agreements, joint ventures, and project delivery frameworks.
  • Provide legal guidance to project managers, bid teams, and executive stakeholders during both tender and delivery phases.
  • Act as internal advisor on Dutch procurement regulations, risk exposure, and contract compliance matters.
  • Develop and implement legal templates, tools, and training to improve internal legal awareness and standardisation.
  • Support in dispute resolution and claims management processes in coordination with external counsel where required.
  • Participate in project site visits and maintain close collaboration with engineering, commercial, and operational teams.
  • Career progression to Legal Manager.


The Person:

  • Master's degree in Law (LL.M), ideally with a focus in construction, contract or maritime law.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in an infrastructure, construction, or marine-related legal environment.
  • Strong understanding of Dutch contract Law and public procurement frameworks (e.g., UAV 2012, UAV-GC).
  • Familiarity with international standards such as FIDIC or DBFM is advantageous.
  • Fluent Dutch and professional English required.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
