Legal Cashier

Job Title:Legal Cashier Location: Nottingham Contract: PermanentAbout the Firm We are a busy and well-established law firm providing legal services across a range of practice areas. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and reliable Legal Cashier to join their team. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm's financial transactions, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules and supporting the smooth running of the accounts function.Key Responsibilities

• Processing client and office account transactions
• Handling electronic payments, transfers, and cheques
• Managing client balances and residual balances
• Bank reconciliations and posting transactions
• Processing bills, disbursements, and expenses
• Ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules at all times
• Liaising with fee earners and external parties as required

About You

• Previous experience as a Legal Cashier (essential)
• Strong knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Confident using legal accounting software and Microsoft Office
