The Role: What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with Partners and fee earners, you'll play a vital role in supporting Family Law matters across a broad and engaging caseload.

Core Responsibilities
  • Document & Case Preparation: Drafting, formatting and managing legal documents, court bundles and correspondence
  • Case Management: Opening files, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with AML/CDD requirements
  • Court & Client Liaison: Communicating with clients, courts, Counsel and third parties
  • Diary & Inbox Management: Coordinating schedules, meetings and key deadlines for fee earners
  • Court Processes: Preparing documentation via Quantum and managing e-filings
  • Financial Administration: Supporting billing processes and managing transactional documentation
  • General Support: Assisting with departmental administration and business development activities
About You: Skills & Experience Required

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Minimum 1+ year's experience working as a Paralegal in Family Law (UK practice essential)
  • Law degree (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to take initiative
  • Professional discretion and ability to handle confidential matters
Technical Skills

You should be proficient (or able to quickly become proficient) in:

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • iManage (document management system)
  • Quantum (Family Court forms)
  • Bundledocs / PDF bundling tools
  • Legal research platforms (Practical Law / LexisNexis)
  • Other systems such as P4W, SmartSearch, DocuSign and digital dictation tools
Working Environment
  • Location: Holborn / Lincoln's Inn, Central London
  • Working Model: Fully office-based (5 days per week)
  • Collaborative and sociable team culture with direct Partner exposure
