The role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and highly motivated individual to teach on a range of Science courses including GCSE Chemistry, BTEC Level 2, & BTEC Level 3 Applied Science. With recent successful experience of teaching in a post-16 setting, the ideal candidate should possess an undergraduate degree in a relevant science discipline and hold a recognised teaching qualification.

- £26,386 - £51,931 per annum (depending on qualification and experience)
- Develop and employ a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies, monitor learner progress and provide effective feedback throughout the academic year
- Contribute to team meetings and have a positive impact on the overall quality of this subject area
- Ensure excellence in teaching and learning
- Recent successful experience of teaching in a post-16 setting
- Possess a professional qualification or first degree in relevant area or equivalent.
- Hold, or be willing to work towards, a recognised teaching qualification
- Enthusiastic and committed individual who can engage, inspire and challenge all learners to achieve their individual potential
- Good organisational and problem solving skills and will be prepared to work flexibly
- TA knowledge of the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales specification and the ability to support learners completing the Individual Project in Science related disciplines would be advantageous.
- 46 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, and the college is closed for two weeks over the Christmas period
