This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Carpentry & Joinery professional or qualified lecturer to play a key role in developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople. You will deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment across a range of carpentry and joinery programmes while supporting learners to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Carpentry & Joinery teaching and assessment
• Plan, prepare and develop learning materials and schemes of work
• Monitor student progress, attendance and achievement
• Provide tutorials, guidance and pastoral support to learners
• Support course promotion, recruitment activities and open events
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement
• Undertake assessment and internal verification activities
• Promote safe working practices and maintain health and safety standards
• Embed English, Maths and digital learning into teaching activities
• Build and maintain positive relationships with employers and stakeholders

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Carpentry & Joinery, including NVQ
• Minimum 5 years' verifiable industry experience
• Teaching or training experience within Further Education or a training environment
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
• Assessor qualification (A1/TAQA) or willingness to achieve
• Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills
• Experience using a range of teaching methods and learning technologies

A current and valid ENHANCED DBS is required for this role.
