This is not a purely classroom:based role. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with pupils who require additional help to engage with learning, develop independence and build confidence throughout the school day.

What Will Your Role Look Like?

As a Learning Support Assistant, you may be working one:to:one with an individual pupil, supporting small groups or assisting within the classroom, depending on the needs of the children.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs and SEND
• Delivering structured small:group activities and interventions
• Helping children access lessons through adapted resources and targeted support
• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and emotional development
• Building trusting, professional relationships with pupils
• Working closely with teachers, the SENCO and other support staff

The role will provide genuine variety, with the Learning Support Assistant becoming an important and valued part of the wider school team.

Who Would Suit This Learning Support Assistant Role?

Were looking for someone with a genuine interest in helping children succeed. Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEND Support Worker or in a similar child:focused role would be highly beneficial.
