The Opportunity

As a French Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside teaching staff to help students access their learning and make progress.

You will use your French language skills to support students within lessons and provide additional assistance where required.

The role will involve working with students across the secondary age range and could include supporting individuals or small groups, helping students understand tasks and encouraging them to engage confidently with their learning.

This is a role for someone who is patient, confident, reliable and able to build positive working relationships with students and staff.

Your Responsibilities

• Supporting students with their learning across French and wider curriculum areas.
• Using your French language skills to help students understand and access lesson content.
• Working with individuals and small groups to provide targeted support.
• Helping students stay focused, engaged and confident in their learning.
• Working alongside teachers and other support staff to meet students' needs.
• Providing encouragement and practical assistance during lessons.
• Helping maintain a positive, safe and productive learning environment.
• Following school policies, safeguarding procedures and professional expectations.
