Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (SEN and SEMH) Area: Oldham, Greater ManchesterStart Date: March 2026Contract Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £105.00 - £120 per day Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

With a strong team ethos and a child-centred approach, the school is seeking a committed SEN and SEMH Learning Support Assistant who is ready to make a meaningful impact both inside and outside the classroom.

About the Role: Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with EHCPs and SEMH needs Work closely with the class teacher to adapt learning, manage behaviour positively, and implement personalised strategies Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and independence through consistent routines Build trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, understood, and supported Support progress tracking and maintain clear communication with parents and the wider multidisciplinary team

What We're Looking For: Previous experience supporting children with SEND or SEMH needs in an education or care setting Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach A good understanding of Autism, SEMH, and wider SEND needs A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification

To be eligible you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
