The Role:

The role of our Learning Support Assistant is vital in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom, helping to build students' confidence, engagement, and independence. This role requires patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to supporting boys with social, emotional and behavioural needs, creating a safe and positive environment where every student feels valued and able to succeed.

It is important to be able to maintain a level of calm and have excellent communication skills with both adults and young people. It is essential to have good organisational skills, the ability to multitask and act as a role model for students.

The ideal applicant will have recent experience of working with children with SEN, however experience in Social, Emotional and Communication Difficulties would be advantageous.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to support woking with children who have SEMH needs and challenging behaviours. Having experience in this area will be advantageous.
