Learning Facilitator (SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant)
Location: Bristol
Hours: Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
Contract: Flexible Supply - Day-to-Day & Long-Term Roles
Salary: £100 - £120 per day (dependent on experience and assignment)

Connex Education is working in partnership with a number of specialist SEND schools and alternative provisions across Bristol, offering flexible opportunities for compassionate and dedicated Learning Facilitators to support children and young people with a range of additional needs.
Whether you're looking for day-to-day supply work or a long-term placement, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience across a variety of specialist settings while helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.
About the RoleAs a Learning Facilitator, you will:
- Support pupils across Key Stages 1 to 3 with their learning, development and wellbeing.
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging, personalised learning activities.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour through consistent support.
- Adapt your approach to meet a variety of needs, including autism, SEMH, communication needs and moderate learning difficulties.
- Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can succeed.
- Support pupils during lessons, breaktimes and enrichment activities where required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals to provide the best possible outcomes for each child.
We're looking for individuals who:
- Have experience supporting children or young people, particularly those with SEND, either in education, care or youth work settings.
- Are patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Can remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
- Are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning.
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
