Learning Disabilities Social WorkerLondon Borough of Lewisham are looking to expand their current team with a dedicated Learning Disabilities Social Worker looking for an opportunity to join a well-structured and organised team. This Learning Disabilities Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.Learning Disabilities Social Worker responsibilities include:

• Case Load Management
• Completing reviews and assessment
• Working alongside other agencies
• Working to ensure the protection of vulnerable adults.
• Promoting service users' choices, control and independence
• Supporting service users to live safely and independently in their own homes.
• Assessing and reviewing existing service users placed in care homes.
• Reviewing residential, nursing home or day centre placements
• Working effectively with other professionals

Requirements / Experience preferred:

• 3+ Years experience post qualification.
• Must have experience in learning disability social work team
• Good assessment analytical skills
• Good communication skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Legally literate able to undertake
• MCA, BI, CoP work.
• SWE Registration
• Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
