Job Description
Learning & Development Specialist - Permanent, full time position offering £37,000 £40,000 per annum.
Location: Maxstoke, West Midlands or East Midlands; Working pattern: hybrid - 3 days on site, 2 days from home.
Job OverviewAs a Learning & Development Specialist you will shape the training landscape for a rapidly growing logistics and supply chain performance leader. You will work under a supportive Head of L&D and take ownership of programmes that drive business growth across a 4 site UK network.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Training Needs Analysis by visiting sites, building relationships with local managers, and mapping distinct development needs.
- Design and deliver blended learning experiences, including face to face coaching, soft skills modules, and interactive digital content.
- Own the annual Performance & Development (APND) appraisal cycle, converting appraisal insights into actionable training plans.
- Support and coordinate the rollout of graduate schemes, apprenticeships, and internal internship pathways.
- Manage Learning Management System: upload content, track compliance data, and update career pathways.
- Current experience in a Learning & Development role or equivalent responsibilities.
- Operational sector awareness - logistics, warehousing, supply chain, or manufacturing experience.
- Foundational L&D exposure: training facilitation, basic instructional design, or TNA.
- High ambition, strong organisational and communication skills, and the confidence to work with warehouse teams and senior managers.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across UK sites.
