Leadership Development Team Lead

Our client, an oil and gas operator, is currently hiring a Leadership Development Team Lead to join the team in London.

The Leadership Development Team Lead plays a pivotal role in nurturing and developing leaders to reach their potential and adapt to evolving market forces and business challenges.

This role supports the VP of Leadership and Learning in implementing the learning strategy by designing, developing, and executing customized leadership development programs across various modalities, with a focus on scalable solutions for the global team.

Responsibilities include:

• Source, develop, and implement executive and leadership development initiatives aligned with strategic goals, values, and behaviors to enhance global leadership capabilities.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning across the global leadership community.
• Ensure a pipeline of internal leadership talent ready to fill critical roles.

Areas of Accountability, Responsibility, and Competence:

• Learning Culture: Promote a culture of learning agility, encouraging leaders to adopt innovative leadership approaches and support their teams in continuous learning and adaptation.
• Leadership Academy: Assist in designing and launching a Leadership Academy utilizing the ADDIE framework and 70:20:10 approach. Serve as designer, trainer, facilitator, event manager, or assessor to ensure successful program delivery.
• Leadership Programs: Develop and implement scalable, high-impact leadership development programs.
• Management Programmes: Create remote learning solutions utilizing emerging technologies for interactive experiences.
• High Potential Programs: Collaborate with external partners to develop leadership development initiatives for high-potential leaders.
• Succession Planning: Use talent analytics to implement development interventions that support succession pipelines for key roles.
• Coaching and Mentoring: Facilitate coaching and mentoring services for senior leaders.
• Executive Development: Source on-demand executive development services in collaboration with the VP.
• Leadership Strategy: Contribute to leadership development strategies and promote initiatives through multimedia channels.
• Collaboration: Work with Talent & Culture teams to align leadership development with broader organizational strategies and initiatives.
• External Partners: Manage external talent partners to deliver quality leadership services.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and report on program effectiveness, implementing improvements based on feedback and metrics.
• Health & Safety: Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree-level education; certifications in adult learning preferred
• Instructional design accreditation and/or CIPD or equivalent
• Proven experience in leadership development within oil and gas or similar industries
• Experience designing and implementing strategic leadership programs
• Advanced facilitation and presentation skills with senior leaders
• Executive coaching experience preferred
• Ability to influence and engage senior leaders
• Experience with HR systems is advantageous
