At JLR, we are embarking on a journey to embed a new Organisational Purpose and shape our culture. This role will be critical in developing the skills and mindset our leaders in Solihull need to foster a culture where people love coming to work, to Live the Exceptional with Soul.
This exciting opportunity is central to our development plans at the Solihull plant. We seek an eager and motivated leadership development professional with experience in creating and delivering impactful content and facilitating sessions that transform leadership mindsets and behaviors. The individual will be a key member of the People Transformation Team within the Site Strategy and Transformation department. Responsibilities include building leadership capability, fostering change, and developing a supportive culture of achievement and engagement, aligned with the global JLR strategy and collaborating with the central Leadership Development squad, L&D Academy, and other stakeholders.
Approximately 50% of this role involves delivery: facilitation of workshops, team development circles, on-the-job shadowing, coaching, and other leader development activities. The remaining responsibilities include content creation, stakeholder management, contract management with external providers, and program management.
WHAT TO EXPECT
As the Leadership Development Lead, you'll:
• Develop an aligned leadership development approach for Solihull based on the broader cultural transformation at JLR.
• Design, develop, and deliver development programs for leaders at all levels in Solihull, either directly or through third parties (within or outside JLR).
• Ensure a coherent learning experience across all leadership levels, including executive leaders (LL4+).
• Collaborate with global JLR stakeholders to align Solihull leadership initiatives with global leadership development programs.
• Support the implementation of sustainable leadership offerings that enhance current capabilities and integrate new starters effectively.
• Contribute to redesigning ongoing leadership interventions (e.g., Group Leader Academy, Production Leader Academy, Maintenance Leader programs) in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Coordinate program activities, manage internal and external resources, and oversee the program budget.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
• Proven experience in delivering and facilitating workshops for leaders across all levels, from first-line to senior leadership.
• Previous leadership development experience.
• Ability to challenge leadership behaviors during development sessions, including with senior executives.
• Credibility and ability to inspire confidence and influence at senior levels.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management and presentations.
• Ability to translate lessons learned into future activity designs.
• Initiative and innovation in improving leadership development practices.
