Location: Hybrid - Occasional London-based working.

Full time

Salary: Base £70,000 OTE up to £90,000

  • They create novel solutions for processing and analysing complex information with unmatched efficiency and accuracy.

Our client is supporting a major retail chain to achieve their biodiversity goals. The project is a demonstration of a new method of monitoring biodiversity at scale which will enable real estate investors, supermarkets, financial institutions, and local councils to meet the requirements of Biodiversity Net Gain regulations while reducing the amount of manual work needed and the financial cost it takes to understand change of biodiversity at scale. Our partners include the European Space Agency (ESA), the UK Space Agency (UKSA), and the Ordnance Survey.

They are now looking for a Lead Technical Engineer to join their team who will be the mastermind behind their technical roadmap.

What does the role involve?

  • Developing and implementing cutting-edge technical strategies.
  • Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adapting to changing requirements with agility and commercial acumen.
  • Balancing time, cost, and quality in decision-making.

What we are looking for:

  • A strong command of programming languages (efficient and maintainable code is a must)
  • Commercially astute and financially aware.
  • Quality-focused, optimising time and resources efficiently.
  • Adaptable, start-ups can be bumpy.
  • Able to communicate complex technical info to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Technically skilled in system architecture, database management,
    development, version control, troubleshooting, cybersecurity, and AI.

Your Experience:

Ideally, you'll have experience in start-up environments and/or larger organisations with established procedures.
