Lead Teacher - Specialist Provision - Lyndhurst

Start Date: September 2026

Prospero's client school is offering a unique opportunity to lead a small, specialist provision supporting pupils with Autism in a calm, nurturing environment.

This is more than a teaching role - it's a chance to shape a bespoke learning space where every pupil is truly seen, supported and celebrated.

About the Provision

This newly developed provision is designed for up to six pupils who benefit from a quieter, lower-stimulation setting. With a broad range of abilities and interests, pupils receive tailored support through:

  • One-to-one sessions in dedicated classrooms
  • Small group tutor time and shared learning
  • Weekly enrichment activities that build confidence and curiosity
  • A strong focus on emotional wellbeing, supported by Thrive principles

Pupils also access lessons on the main school site, creating a balanced and flexible learning experience.

Your Role

As Lead Teacher, you'll be the driving force behind this provision. You will:

  • Design and deliver bespoke learning plans
  • Lead and mentor a team of committed Learning Support Assistants
  • Oversee assessment, progress tracking and IEPs
  • Liaise closely with families and external professionals
  • Champion emotional wellbeing and inclusive practice
  • Collaborate with the SENDCo and wider school team
  • Shape the timetable and learning journey to suit each pupil's needs

You may also teach across the wider school depending on your interests and experience.
