Lead Solutions Architect (CDO/CTO - Banking, Capital Markets, AI/ML/Data) - London, United Kingdom. In this role you will be the domain expert for Banking and Capital Markets within Databricks UK&I, coordinating with industry leads, building executive relationships, and working with cross functional teams across the organization.

Reporting to the Director, Field Engineering.

Impact

• Influence stakeholders at all levels through complex engagements with the cloud ecosystem and third party applications, ensuring enthusiasm for the Databricks vision and solution strategy.
• Partner with the Strategic or Global Account executive to lead internal teams in providing analysis and architecting solutions for the customer, serving as the strategic link between Databricks and the customer for technology strategy.
• Lead technology thought leadership and sales activities to drive the customer's digital transformation vision and roadmap with Databricks.
• Cultivate relationships and solutions with the partner ecosystem, including SIs, ISVs, and data collaboration partners.
• Collaborate with marketing to develop FSI content, collateral, and demand generation plans.
• Own the relationship with C level technology/innovation executives, building technology roadmaps that enable the customer's innovation agenda.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of executive experience in Banking or Capital Markets (direct industry or vendor).
• Deep knowledge of the technology landscape in the FSI industry.
• Experience across the full value chain of FSI, including:
• Banking and Capital Markets: customer acquisition, account opening and maintenance, loan origination, deposit & withdrawal processing, payment processing, risk management, compliance, digital transformation, etc.
• Track record of driving change at a large FSI company and influencing decision making processes.
• Previous role as a technology leader and go to person for long term relationships with CxO level decision makers.
• Ability to innovatively design technical solutions that achieve business transformation and account growth targets.
• Proactive knowledge of the Banking and Insurance (FSI) industry, business strategy, and key partners and solutions.
• Strong knowledge of key regulations in the Banking and Insurance industry, especially European regulations.
