Lead Solution Architect

Location: Mainly remote working/London

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Solution Architect to join our Architecture team supporting multiple client accounts. This role requires a dynamic individual with broad technical expertise across multiple domains and exceptional stakeholder management skills. You will play a key role in designing and governing solutions that meet complex business needs in large projects while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with senior stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into robust architectural solutions.
• Define and maintain architectural standards, patterns, and governance processes.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure solutions are implemented according to design.
• Support pre-sales and bid activities by providing architectural input and technical leadership.
• Drive handover and knowledge transfer between teams to maintain continuity across projects.

Skills & Experience

Required:

• Multi-domain expertise: Strong understanding of application, data, integration, and infrastructure architectures.
• Cloud experience: Solid AWS knowledge
• Enterprise architecture principles: Familiarity with TOGAF or similar frameworks.
• Stakeholder management: Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Solution design: Experience in designing end-to-end solutions for complex programmes.
• Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in architecture roles.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• AWS certifications
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Exposure to security and compliance considerations in cloud environments. Exposure to other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of AI/ML technologies and their use cases
• Experience in regulated environments or large transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of security and compliance considerations in solution design.
