Our client, a Government department, is seeking three experienced Lead Software Engineers to join their team on a contract basis. The successful candidates will have prior experience working with the Government Digital Service (GDS). This exciting opportunity involves working on a 2-year programme remotely.
Role Summary: As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in a strategic initiative within the Government department. This position offers the chance to contribute to a significant programme of work that will have a lasting impact.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to develop Java applications
- Utilize JavaScript and Node.JS for front-end development
- Implement solutions using Spring Boot framework
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong Java development skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript; Node.JS
- Experience with Spring Boot
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working with Government Digital Service (GDS)
