Lead Software Developer

KOTUG OptiPort is looking for a Lead Software Developer who will play a pivotal role in advancing Kotug OptiPort, an innovative AI-driven port scheduling tool revolutionizing the global maritime industry. Currently, we are developing the next generation of our application (V2) -an exciting initiative that will enable us to significantly expand our reach and enhance the services we provide to customers worldwide.

About the job

• Lead the development of our OptiPort platform

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Lead Software Developer or in a similar leadership role
• Expert-level Python skills, with the ability to guide and mentor others in best practices
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing cloud architectures, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
• Demonstrated success in building and optimizing cloud-native platforms for SaaS applications
• Strong understanding of cloud services and tools including infrastructure-as-code and containerization
• A strategic approach to driving platform evolution while maintaining hands-on technical involvement

Nice to have:

• Experience with Mathematical Programming and/or Optimization Models
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with MongoDB
• Comfortable with occasional customer interaction
• Affinity with maritime challenges
