Lead Power systems Project Manager - Hybrid Renewable & Gas Power

Location: London (Extensive Travel to Chile)

An opportunity to lead the development and delivery of a large-scale hybrid energy platform for the Gente Grande project in Chile, combining approximately 1GW of wind generation with 800MW of gas-fired power generation. Working directly with the Project Director and Board, you will take ownership of the planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning of the project's integrated power system.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of the overall hybrid power system strategy and architecture.
• Manage engineering consultants, OEMs and key technology providers.
• Oversee permitting, environmental studies and regulatory compliance activities.
• Develop CAPEX, OPEX, project schedules and delivery strategies.
• Lead procurement activities, contractor selection and tender evaluations.
• Coordinate delivery of wind generation, gas generation and supporting infrastructure.
• Oversee commissioning, performance testing and system integration.
• Manage key stakeholders including regulators, consultants, contractors, investors and industrial customers.

Requirements

• Degree-qualified Electrical, Power Systems or Energy Engineer.
• Strong experience in power generation, renewables, gas-fired generation or hybrid energy systems.
• Background in large-scale energy infrastructure development and delivery.
• Experience managing engineering consultants, contractors and OEMs.
• Commercial awareness with strong project management capabilities.
• Comfortable operating within a lean, fast-paced project environment.
