Overview

We are seeking a Lead Nurse to join our team at Queenswood. This pivotal role involves leading the running of the medical centre and overseeing the health and wellbeing of our students, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care in a supportive educational setting.

LEAD NURSE

Required for November 2025 or sooner

Responsibilities

• Lead the running of the medical centre and provide and promote health care to all pupils at Queenswood.
• Work to a permanent contract, full-time for 37.5 hours per week, during term time only.

Qualifications

• RGN qualified and a member of the NMC or a similar professional organisation.
• Experience in health education is essential.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
• Practice nurse or school nurse experience would be beneficial.

About Queenswood

Queenswood is a GSA, BSA, HMC Boarding and Day School for approximately 450 girls aged 11-18, set in Hertfordshire countryside close to London.

Salary and Benefits

• Full-time equivalent salary range: £41,000 - £43,000 per annum.
• Term-time salary range: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum.
