Lead Network Architect

Network Architect (Consultancy) - Permanent
£90,000-£120,000 | UK (London/Hybrid)

We're working with a well-established network consultancy that partners with enterprise and public-sector organisations to design and deliver secure, resilient, and scalable network architectures. They are looking for a senior Network Architect to act as design authority across complex customer environments, shaping standards, producing high-quality designs, and supporting delivery teams through implementation and handover.

Key experience

• CCIE or equivalent expert-level certification
• Strong enterprise networking background (WAN, LAN, campus)
• Deep Cisco experience (Enterprise, SDA, ISE, security platforms)
• Proven experience working in consultancy, systems integrator, or professional services environments
• Comfortable owning designs end-to-end and presenting to senior stakeholders
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Key responsibilities

• Act as design authority for enterprise network and security engagements
• Produce HLDs, LLDs, and architectural standards
• Design WAN, LAN, campus, and data centre network architectures
• Lead network modernisation initiatives (greenfield and brownfield)
• Provide technical governance and design assurance during delivery
• Engage directly with customers to translate business and risk requirements into technical designs
• Support and mentor senior engineers and delivery teams
