Lead Medical Device Equipment Design Engineer (Contract)

Equipment Design Engineer (Contractor) - Galway

Reporting to the Senior Equipment Design Engineer, this role involves designing, manufacturing and improving equipment and tooling for the production of medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Generate equipment designs.
• Investigate new technologies.
• Provide technical leadership.
• Coordinate activities and work closely with technicians.
• Ensure equipment solutions are delivered within budget and schedule, and comply with quality requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external specialists and participate in Continuous Improvement projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Engineering Degree equivalent to or above NFQ Level 8.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated track record in equipment design.
• Experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks, pneumatics, workshop equipment, and machine building.
• Strong communication skills and creative problem solving approach.
