Job Description
Geotechnical Lead Engineer Locations: Derby, Warrington or Manchester - Hybrid working options available Salary: £57,600 - £75,600 Reporting to the Civil & Structural Engineering Manager, the Geotechnical Lead Engineer will be responsible for the development of fully integrated geotechnical solutions and governance across the project.The role covers technical leadership of the geotechnical engineering team, including management of work packages, validation of technical solutions, delivery of robust design and safety justification, and integration of geotechnical design into the infrastructure design.The candidate will lead the resolution of geotechnical engineering problems within their scope and contribute to the design development and assessment for the generic and site-specific Rolls-Royce SMR designs.Key criteria: Generic Design Assessment Submissions submitted on time to agreed Quality Standards. ONR queries responded to on time. Technical Packages within the roles scope delivered to agreed programme. Successful resolution of technical issues within the roles scope within the agreed programme. Successful integration of the roles scope into the wider organisation and plant design. Technical Governance activities completed to agreed programme. Demonstrable integration of conventional health and safety improvements to the design of the roles scope. Fosters a supportive working environment and successfully develops those within their team.Salary and Package: We anticipate paying a salary of between £68,000 - £89,000 DOE Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 17% Benefits Allowance - £5,000 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions. Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
