This expanding environmental company, offering a variety of services to national clients, is recruiting for an experienced Lead Fire Risk Consultant based in and around the Sheffield area. The successful individual will be a switched on and knowledgeable Fire Risk Consultant who is able to carry out risk assessments and surveys on large complex sites, alongside implementing policies and procedures and developing a team of risk assessors. The company is looking for somebody to grow alongside the business and can offer long term development into senior management. Applications will be considered from strong consultants throughout the Yorkshire region.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Registered to an industry recognised body including ISE/IFSM/IFPO/IFE.
  • Hold Tier 3 or higher MIFSM membership.
  • Chartered status is desirable but not essential.
  • Hold industry recognised fire risk assessment/fire safety qualifications.
  • Experience in undertaking Type 1 4 Fire Risk Assessments on complex and large scale sites.
  • Extensive experience working within a consultancy setting.
  • Extensive technical knowledge and experience within the Fire Risk Industry.
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Role
  • Act as the principal contact for all clients on fire safety issues.
  • Complete pre occupation surveys, fire risk assessments, evacuation strategies, emergency plans for bespoke, complex sites.
  • Price and quote works.
  • Work with the H&S/Management team to develop and implement ISO related policies.
  • Train and develop a team of risk assessors.
  • Liaise with clients following risk assessments.
  • Produce comprehensive reports.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with a large portfolio of clients.
  • Maintain excellent working knowledge of ever changing guidelines and guidance related to fire risk.
