Currently, alongside consortium partners, Balfour Beatty has been chosen by BP (British Petroleum) to build a pioneering fully integrated gas-fired power station with carbon capture and storage technology. This project is a key part of transforming Teesside into the UK's first decarbonised industrial cluster.
We are seeking a Lead Engineering Surveyor to support the Net Zero Teesside project at our new site in Redcar and Cleveland.
What you'll be doing- Managing site records related to survey tasks
- Coordinating survey activities of the site team
- Overseeing inventory of survey equipment and consumables
- Acting as delegate for the survey manager when absent
- Participating in design and construction meetings, including reviews
- Ensuring survey team output and performance meet standards
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Extensive experience in design, construction, and surveying within a construction environment
- Proficiency in GPS and survey applications
- Experience managing site survey teams
- Knowledge of digital design deliverables
- Experience with settlement monitoring systems and technologies
- Understanding of geodetic requirements for projects
- Familiarity with the latest survey equipment, software, and technologies
- Experience establishing GNSS networks
