Lead Celonis Process Mining Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Lead Celonis Process Mining Consultant to support a Process Intelligence implementation in Germany.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can independently lead a data engineering team while remaining actively involved in Celonis development, data extraction, transformation, process modelling, and analytics.

The ideal candidate will have strong Celonis, PQL, SQL, and data engineering expertise, combined with experience integrating Celonis with enterprise ERP environments such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud, or Oracle EBS.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a data engineering team delivering end-to-end Celonis Process Intelligence/Process Mining solutions.
• Remain hands-on with Celonis development, configuration, data modelling, and deployment.
• Design and build data extraction and transformation pipelines using standard and custom connectors.
• Develop and manage Celonis Data Pools, Data Jobs, Knowledge Models, Views, and Analyses.
• Build complex transformations and custom activities using SQL/Vertica SQL.
• Develop advanced process analytics using PQL and PU functions.
• Optimize data pipelines, models, and Celonis solution performance.
• Analyze business processes and identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Implement Action Flows and Action Views to operationalize process improvements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, project managers, and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable Celonis solutions.
• Allocate work, review technical deliverables, and mentor data engineers.
• Leverage the latest Celonis AI and Process Intelligence capabilities where appropriate.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or related technical roles.
• Strong hands-on Celonis implementation experience.
• Advanced experience with Celonis ETL, PQL, SQL, Data Pools, Data Jobs, and Knowledge Models.
• Strong understanding of Process Mining/Process Intelligence concepts.
• Experience building data extraction pipelines and integrating Celonis with enterprise applications.
• ERP experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud, and/or Oracle EBS R12.
• Demonstrated experience independently leading and mentoring data engineering teams.
• Strong business process understanding and ability to work across technical and functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred

• Celonis certification such as Data Engineer, Analyst, or Implementation Professional.
• Experience with Action Flows, Action Views, Machine Learning, and Celonis AI capabilities.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
