Lead Automation Test Engineer Hybrid Amsterdam Up to €125k + 10% STIP

Maze is hiring a Lead Automation Test Engineer for a hyper-scale, Global, Online Gaming giant, who have recently raised a further €1bn+ in funding and have approximately 1,000 people across Tech & Product alone.

This is a high-impact opportunity within one of the most ambitious tech environments in Europe.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks from scratch
• Lead backend testing efforts across microservices and APIs
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders
• Mentor junior team members and support the growth of quality engineering culture
• Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams to ensure quality across the SDLC

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in building automation frameworks from scratch
• Strong backend testing experience (APIs, services, databases)
• Proficiency with tools such as JavaScript, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, Postman
• Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor or lead a small team
• Experience in both large corporations and smaller agile environments is a plus

This position is hybrid with 2 days per week in either the Amsterdam office required.
